POSITION DESCRIPTION

VALET ATTENDANT

BASIC FUNCTION

To greet and assist customers who are entering the facility. To park and retrieve customers’ vehicles.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

a) Reports to: Security Supervisor

b) Supervises: N/A

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome customers as they arrive and thank customers as they leave the facility.
• Park and retrieve vehicles for customers following all safety rules and regulations.
• Help handicapped and elderly patrons into facility.
• Open front entrance doors for all customers as they arrive and depart the facility.
• Record license information for parking lot surveys.
• Keep front entrance presentable to include sweeping of front steps.
• Remain in work area and be available to customers.
• Occasionally run errands.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

• Must have good driving record and be able to safely operate motor vehicles
• Experience with manual transmissions preferred
• Good oral communication skills
• Good written communication skills

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Light work, able to move up to 20 lbs.
• Physical exertion may occur. Running to retrieve vehicles may be required
• Must have valid driver’s license

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

• This position’s activities occur inside and outside, subject to all weather conditions.
